What happens during a session?

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy utilises a questioning technique followed by hypnosis.  Hypnosis amplifies the effects of the answers you provide about the things you wish to achieve or overcome.  Sessions are generally light and even fun!  There is no need to discuss any past events or trauma as part of the therapy, unless you wish to.  Therapy is future focused and is very much focused on your desires for your life.

Hypnosis is a state of focused attention.  Everyone goes into a state of hypnosis every day.  Obvious examples are when we daydream, but it can also happen when we are watching TV or running at the gym.  It is a natural part of our lives.  During our sessions, you will feel deeply relaxed and will always be in control.  Hypnotherapy is not like stage hypnosis.  No one is able to take control of your mind.  Hypnotherapy is gentle, yet powerful.
